Guillaume Tell is about the Swiss hero William Tell who longs to liberate his people from the Austrian occupation. With music inspired by the Swiss Alps, this came to be Rossini's last opera.
The opera Guillaume Tell is sung in French with Met subtitles in English, German, and Spanish.
